By Chance to Live in Central France

After taking the necessary steps to live and work in Central France Rhae and Keith Elliott moved Fontvielle, a small hamlet near to La Souterraine in the Berry Cruise region of the Limousin. Here they faced the trials and tribulations of settling into the local French community. They moved into the beautiful stone farmhouse and renovated a delapidated cottage on their land. They landscaped the gardens adding terraces, lawns and a swimming pool. Through endless visits to the Maire they sought advice and guidance on French rules and regulations. They were given information regarding improvement projects and told the correct procedure for the installation of the swimming pool plus the use and safe evacuation of water for the pool. After a lot of hard work they achieved their goal. They were ready to advertise their cottage to holiday makers and visitors to the region.
