Retirement in France seemed the ideal thing to do so Rhae Elliott and her husband, Keith, left the security of their home and friends. They moved to the hamlet of Fontvieille, near Vareilles on the outskirts of La Souterraine in the Limousin, Central France. Here they set about learning the language, getting to know the locals and generally getting to terms with life in France.

After viewing many properties Rhae and Keith were taken to Fontvieille a small hamlet near La Souterraine where they fell in love with this stone farmhouse overlooking the Limousin countryside. The beautiful views from the terrace and the spacious rooms with huge oak beams epitomised everything they expected from the property where they would start their new life in France.
